Project Overview
Our USA-based client was struggling with a fragmented prescription and medical product delivery process. Doctors, Pharmacies, Courier Partners, and Patients operated on separate systems, leading to manual errors, operational delays, and limited visibility. Patients often faced delays in receiving medicines or medical products and lacked real-time updates on their prescriptions. Managing multiple pharmacy branches and ensuring compliance further complicated the process, making it time-consuming and error-prone.
To address these challenges, SculptSoft developed MediConnect, a secure, scalable SaaS-based healthcare platform that digitizes the entire prescription and medical product delivery journey. When a doctor creates a prescription, it is uploaded directly into MediConnect and automatically routed to the contracted pharmacy chosen by the doctor.
In addition to prescriptions issued by doctors, MediConnect also supports direct orders, where patients can request medicines and medical products directly from a registered pharmacy. However, these orders are only processed if the patient has a valid prescription. Once the pharmacy processes the order, the courier ensures timely and secure delivery.
With real-time tracking, automated workflows, and secure data handling, MediConnect eliminates manual errors, reduces operational delays, and enhances patient trust by providing a transparent and reliable healthcare experience.
